How do I ease into endgame without spoiling the fun?

Asked by Blue Kettle

I’m enjoying the PvE story and events, but repeating the same activities is getting stale. I’d like to try fractals and raids, though I’m worried I’ll hold a group back. How can I tell when I’m ready, and can I learn as I go without studying every fight first?

Try the easiest fractals first and treat them as a way to learn the pace and group roles, not as a test you have to pass. Check the requirements for the group you join, and move up when the current level feels comfortable. You don’t have to jump straight into the hardest content to make progress.

Look for groups that say they’re for beginners or learning runs. Let them know you’re new before you start, and ask whether they’re happy to explain things as they come up. That gives the group a chance to set expectations, and you can learn the mechanics in play instead of reading a full guide beforehand.

It’s fine to focus on one kind of content at a time. Pick a small goal, such as filling in a gear slot or learning one encounter, and spend your materials toward that rather than trying to save for every possible upgrade. If a run feels stressful, step back and try a different activity. You can come back when you feel more curious than pressured.
