I’m just short of a three-phase clear on Dredgen Sere. One test with False Idols and enhanced Surrounded, plus two Witherhoard shots, did much more damage than the Praxic Blade when Surrounded was active for the full 30 seconds. But I’m not sure how reliably it stays active during the actual fight.
That test is a good sign for the sword’s damage when the perk is active, but it doesn’t establish how much of a real damage phase you’ll get with the perk running. Uptime is the key unknown here.
I wouldn’t count on it as a fix for the extra phase until you’ve checked it in the fight. Compare a few runs with the same setup and see whether Surrounded stays active long enough to make the difference.
