Could match VODs be easier to watch without spoilers?

Asked by JuniperKite

I often catch up on pro matches after they’re over, and a single video for an entire series can reveal how many games are left. Could the official VODs be arranged in a way that makes it easier to avoid those spoilers?

Posting each game as its own video seems like the simplest fix. A series compilation could still be available for people who want everything in one place, but watching the first game wouldn’t reveal the length of the whole series.

The trouble is that a full-series video gives away information through its runtime, even if nobody puts the score in the title. Chapters can help people jump around, but they may also make the order or length of the series obvious. Separate game files, with neutral titles and thumbnails, would do more to protect the viewing experience.

Having both separate games and a full-series option sounds like a good compromise.

I’d keep the reliable, timely VODs and add game-by-game versions alongside them. The all-in-one video is convenient, but it shouldn’t be the only way to catch up if its length gives away the result of later games.
