Enemy highlighting can help targets stand out against effects or weather, and reticle shapes are a matter of visibility and preference. Would separate settings for those be useful without changing how a weapon performs?
Could enemy outlines and reticles be optional settings?

Separate the options: a toggle for enemy outlines, plus reticle shape and color choices. A tiny red dot can disappear against bright muzzle flashes, so a cross or chevron might be easier to track. Letting people choose would make aiming clearer without forcing one look on everyone.

I like the idea, but the visual choices should stay independent of zoom and other weapon behavior. Otherwise, a simple accessibility setting could get tangled up with balance or add extra work for each new weapon. A few shared reticle options might be a practical middle ground, while weapon skins can still change the overall scope design.
