Can Psi Aeterna IV still roll Accelerated Assault, or am I farming the wrong activity?

I've been trying to get a Psi Aeterna IV roll with Accelerated Assault, but the drops I've seen only seem to have Vanguard Determination and Wild Card. I was farming strikes and got several Tier 5 drops, but none of them had the trait I wanted.

Is this trait still available on that weapon, or does it come from a different activity now?

The most likely answer is that you are not missing a hidden trick, you are just looking at a limited pool. For a lot of these activity weapons, the origin trait can be tied to how and when the item was obtained, or it can end up being locked to a smaller set of rolls than people expect.

If you are only seeing Vanguard Determination and Wild Card from strike farming, that usually points to the current drop table being narrower than the older versions people remember. I would check whether Accelerated Assault is still listed for the exact weapon version you are targeting, because sometimes the name stays the same while the trait pool changes.

My read is that strike farming is probably not the path for that specific trait if you have already hit multiple Tier 5 drops and they all roll the same way. That usually means the activity is giving you the current available versions, not every historical combo.

If the goal is only that origin trait, I would stop burning time in strikes and look for whichever source currently drops the weapon with the fuller perk pool, if there is one. If there is no separate source, then the trait may simply no longer be in circulation on fresh drops.

That lines up with what I was wondering too. The annoying part is that the weapon name makes it seem like every version should be available everywhere, but the actual drop rules can be much stricter.

There is also a decent chance this is just an old roll people are talking about, and the current version you can farm has been updated. In that case, the trait name can still show up in discussions even though the live loot table has moved on.

So no, I would not assume you are doing anything wrong. I would treat those strike drops as proof that you are farming the right weapon family, but maybe not the right season or source version for the roll you want.

That is the frustrating answer, but it is probably the right one. If the available drops keep repeating the same two traits, the pool is probably capped.

If you want a practical test, compare the in-game drop source text or loot preview against the trait you are chasing. If the source only references the current traits and never mentions Accelerated Assault, then it is probably gone from fresh drops.

At that point the only real options are waiting for a source refresh, looking for a legacy acquisition path, or switching to another roll that drops more reliably. Farming strikes harder will not change the table if the trait is not on it.
