Try SOMA if you want a story that keeps raising questions about identity and what it means to be a person. It’s more sci-fi than dreamlike, and its plot is somewhat clearer, but it has that lingering, emotionally rough quality.

Alan Wake 2 is another option if you’re up for something more overtly strange and self-aware. It plays with shifting realities and leaves plenty to interpret, though its style is quite different from Signalis.

Detention and Devotion are worth a look. Both lean into atmosphere and symbolism, but their stories are tied to specific cultural and historical contexts, so they feel different from the more abstract dream logic of Silent Hill 2.

If you want a slower, more contained experience, start with Detention. Devotion is a stronger pick if you’re after a family story that gets increasingly unsettling.

Yume Nikki is much less of a conventional horror game, but it’s packed with dreamlike places and images you can interpret in different ways. Go in expecting exploration and mood more than a neatly explained plot.

For something more oppressive and story-heavy, Pathologic 2 might also work. It isn’t quite the same kind of dream puzzle, but its world and narrative can leave you questioning what to trust.
