When you start a new game in Astroneer, you will land on the planet Sylva. A peaceful planet with plenty of resources you need to get started, very little to kill you and a landscape that is easy to navigate. You will soon discover that you can build rockets and fly to other planets. There are a total of 5 planets with 2 moons that you can travel to.
All planets in the game differ in several ways. Some are quite hostile and difficult to survive on, others have restrictive power generation options. This gives you a diverse challenge to take on each time you decide to visit a new world.
Each planet will contain some unique elements and resources that give you a reason to travel there. You may notice that you need tungsten or iron for crafting certain structures. Both of these resources are missing from Sylva. In order to get them, you will need to travel to a planet that has them. There are also unique gasses that can be found on each planet depending on the type of atmosphere it has.
All of the planets and moons in the game are listed below with a quick chart to lookup all of the important information that relates to each of them. You can click into any of the planets to find out more information about the resources and how to survive on this planet.
