Minecraft on the PS4 and Vita shares all of the trophies that the PS3 version contained along with some additional trophies. Overall the difficulty has remained the same. Most trophies will unlock naturally as you play the game. There are a few that you will have to work for, but overall the platinum should not be a challenge to anyone.

Trophy Guide & Road Map [toggle]
To speed up the time it takes to platinum this game I would suggest using the following seed guide for the PS4 version of the game as it contains coordinates for diamonds, emeralds, end portals and other important / useful resources. http://nerdburglars.net/49/Game-Post/best-minecraft-survival-seed-for-ps4xb1-village-temple-near-spawn-100-d.html
If you wish you can start off in the tutorial. This will pretty much guide you through the process of collecting most of the trophies.
Upon spawning you should be able to obtain the following trophies with little effort.
Time to Mine!
Time to Farm!
Getting an Upgrade
Time to Strike!
Dispense With This
It’s a Sign!
Have a Shearful Day
By now you should have iron tools, armor and plenty of food. From here you will need to start building a mine. Start by finding a mine shaft (one is listed in the seed guide). Inside the mineshaft you should gather all the diamond you find along with all of the mine cart tracks as you will need these for a trophy later. Once you have 3 diamonds you should create a diamond pickaxe. This allows you to mine faster and also allows you to mine obsidian. Collect around 20 blocks of obsidian and save them for later. Collect as much iron and gold as possible, don't leave any mine cart tracks behind in the mine as you need 500 of them in total. Once you have enough diamonds to create swords, tools and some diamond armor you can head back to your base camp and save them for later. While running around the mines collect as many bones as possible along with looking out for monster spawners in order to find a pig saddle. Once you get back to the surface you should be able to unlock the following trophies.
When Pigs Fly
Leader Of The Pack
Passing the Time
Chestful of Cobblestone
You should have enough supplies to begin working on (and maybe unlock) On A Rail.
One trophy that can be a bit annoying is Diamonds to you!. You will need to have a friend or a second controller to unlock this. The trophy itself isn't an issue, but finding someone if you dont have a second controller can be a pain.
The next thing to do is head to the nether. The nether is dangerous and it's likely you will die down here so make sure not to bring anything that isn't essential. To begin you will need to construct a nether portal. Follow "Into The Nether" for a guide on how to do this. While in the nether you should collect some nether wart in order to make a potion later on. Blaze rods are going to be the main objective of the nether. You will need a blaze rod combined with a n enter pearl to create an eye of the ender. You need 12 in total so you need to collect at least 13 rods while in the nether. If you are having major difficulty with the blaze rods you can buy eye of the ender from a villager if you spend emeralds. You should unlock the following trophies while in the nether.
Into The Nether
Return to Sender
The final stage is to activate the end portal and kill the end dragon. If you have diamond armor, enchanted diamond sword (Overkill trophy) you should be able to kill the end dragon very easily. Playing on easy difficulty will obviously make the battle a lot easier. Once the dragon is dead you should have your platinum trophy or at least be very close to getting it.
The platinum can be obtained pretty quickly in this game. The guide below will greatly speed up the time that it takes to get the platinum. Ps3 guide videos still apply to the Ps4 version of the game.
Press "Triangle" to open up your inventory.
Press "R2" to punch. Go over to a tree an "punch" a block of wood until it breaks.
To create a workbench you need 4 planks of wood. To get wood planks you will need to collect wood blocks from a tree. Press "Square" to open the crafting menu. Craft wood planks from the wood blocks. Then use 4 wood planks to craft a work bench.
To create a pickaxe you will need 2 sticks and 3 wood planks. You will also need to have a workbench built in order to be able to create this.
You can collect cobblestone from stone blocks. You will need to use a workbench to craft this.
To smelt an iron ingot you need to find iron ore. You will likely find this when you first start to mine. To smelt iron you need to build a furnace. Then use coal or charcoal along with the iron ore to smelt an ingot.
A hoe is created using 2 sticks and 3 planks of wood. You will first need to build a workbench to create this.
In order to get wheat you will need to plant seeds on land that you have cleared with a hoe. Often if you find a village there will already be wheat growing that you can harvest. You will need 3 pieces of wheat to make bread. Once you have 3 pieces of bread you can go to the workbench and create bread which is under the food tab.
To make a cake you need 1 egg, 2 sugar, 3 wheat and 3 buckets of milk. Sugar is obtained from sugar cane which you will likely have found growing near water. To get a bucket of milk you need to hit a cow with the bucket and it will magically fill up with milk.
From thus crafting menu you will see there are multiple different pickaxes you can make by navigating up and down from the tool. make a stone or higher pickaxe and you will earn your trophy.
Catching a fish is quite simple. You need 2 things to be able to do this. A of water and a fishing rod. if you go to the water and press "L2" you will cast a lure into the water. Watch the little ball and when it gets pulled below the water press "L2" again and if you are lucky a fish will come out too. once you have a fish being it to a furnace and place it inside the same way you would with ore or anything else.
This is going to be one of the last trophies you unlock as it takes quite some time to gather this much iron. If you get lucky you will find a mine shaft that you can pick the tracks from. Using the survival seed linked above will show you the location of a mineshaft that will greatly reduce the time it takes.
1 meter is 1 block so In total you need 500 tracks. Place them all in a straight line with a powered rail every 30 blocks, travel from one end to the other and if you have enough you will get the trophy. If you have any turns it will effect the distance so make sure you just do this in a straight line.
Alternatively a quick way to get this is to find someone online who has a world with the track ready in it. If you get invited and travel down the track there you will also unlock the trophy.
A sword is created in the work bench crafting menu using A stick and 2 planks.
You will get this without trying. Just kill a zombie or something and you will get this.
Leather is harvested from cows. All you have to do to get leather is kill the cow. So kill a cow and the trophy should pop.
This one can be tricky since you can't craft saddles. Saddles are found in chests next to creature spawners. They are not always present so it may take a while for you to find one of these.
If you want to speed up the process you could use the linked seed and go to the spawner.
Once you get a saddle you can place it in top of a pig. If you have a fishing rod and a carrot you can combine them to make a carrot on a stick this allows you to control the pig. If you use this you can steer the pig off a ledge to get the trophy.
If you can't get a carrot on a stick to you need to sit in a pig that's near or stuck on the edge of a cliff. Once mounted punch the pig and he will likely fall off and be damaged.
To befriend a wolf you need to give the wolf bones. Killing skeletons is the fastest way to get bones, but you can pick them up inside chests too.
Sometimes taming a wolf takes 1 bone and other times it can take 5 or 6. To use a bone go over to a wolf with a bone in your hand and press "L2". Keep doing this until love hearts appear above the wolves head. Once this happens the wolf is tamed.
This is a bit buggy sometimes and often requires you to tame more than 5 to unlock it. This is more likely to unlock when you have 5 tamed at once, but it has unlocked randomly sometimes too.
Like the trophy says, simply construct one of each tool type. Construct the tools in the work bench crafting menu. You can make them out of wood if you need to.
To build a dispenser you will need 7 cobblestone, 1 bow and 1 redstone. Redstone is found underground, it looks like iron or diamond ore but read and will glow when you stand on it. A bow is created with string and sticks, string can be farmed from killing spiders.
You make a nether portal using obsidian. The first method to create one requires you to have a diamond pickaxe and to mine the blocks and build the portal. An alternative way is to use buckets of lava and water. You need to construct the shape of the portal and then use flint to set the portal on fire. The video guide below explains how to create a nether portal.
This one is quite tricky, not so much because it's a hard shot, but because enemies vanish once you get too far away and 50 blocks is close to the limit. The easiest way to do this is follow the video guide below. It makes this trophy very easy to unlock.
This will come with natural progression if you mine a lot. You need to dig very deep to get diamonds, usually around level 11. When you find lava you are deep enough. You then need to break the ore block using a diamond pickaxe and the diamonds are yours!
To kill a ghast you need to go into the nether. Ghasts are the large flying white squares that have tentacles hanging off them. They will shoot fireballs at you. To send the fireball back you just need to hit the fireball with a sword or something and it will shoot the fireball back at the ghast. If it hits him will die and you will get the trophy.
A blaze is a monster that can only be found in the nether. They are powerful and a challenge to kill at times if you come up against a group. They usually spawn on the upper levels of a fortress. It's wise to head to the nether first with no valuable gear in order to locate a spawner and a fortress, just in-case you die. Once you have found where they spawn, make your way back to the surface and gear up! A blaze will usually drop a rod when killed ,but not always. You might have to kill a few before you get a rod. Keep in mind that you need to collect 13 rods in order to get all the trophies for this game, so while down there try to farm as many as possible.
To brew a potion you will first need a potion stand. Unfortunately the construction of this requires a blaze rod. Check out the trophy " Into Fire" on how to obtain a blaze rod.
End portals are found in underground fortresses. You need to have 12 eye of the lenders in order to activate the portal. To find a portal you can use an eye of the ender on the surface and it will guide you to the location of the end portal. If you have used the survival seed suggested then you can use the coordinates listed in the guide to find the portal very quickly.
The Dragon is actually quite easy to kill. Playing on easy difficulty makes life even better. In order to kill the Dragon you need to destroy the cubes at the top of the obsidian towers. You can destroy these using arrows, but if you are like me and your aim sucks it helps to bring a bunch of dirt blocks and build up to the top of the tower to destroy the objects. Once you have destroyed them all you can attack the Dragon. It helps to have diamond armor and a diamond sword to decrease the chances of you dying.
This trophy unlocks in co-op so invite friends to help and it will make the Dragon easier to kill. Just make sure you don't kill the Dragon while someone is dead or else they won't get the trophy.
Enchantment tables are built from 4 obsidian, 2 diamonds and 1 book . If you get lucky you might find diamond and obsidian in a blacksmiths chest. If not you will have to find enough diamond to make a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian and then have enough diamond leftover to make the table.
You will need to have a diamond sword to achieve this. You will then need to enchant the sword with sharpness or some other powerful enchant to make it stronger. Save the game before you enchant the sword, if you get a bad enchant reload the save and enchant again until you get a powerful enchant. Once the sword is enchanted you can go and attack a creature to get the trophy.
A bookshelf is built using 6 planks of wood and 3 books. To create a book you will need some paper and leather. To get paper you need sugar cane. You can harvest books by destroying an existing bookshelf.
A Biome is like a region of the game. Snow, jungle, swamp and mushroom islands are all considered biomes. You will likely get this as you are travelling around the map. Keep an eye out for the different biomes as you travel and make sure to pass through them. The trophy will likely unlock without you even knowing, but if you are having issues, try running around the map for a while.
Breeding cows is simple. All you need is 2 cows in close proximity to each other ( 8 squares ). If you build a fence around them you will be able to do this easier. Feed both cows hay and they will enter into love move. They will both run over to each other and after a few seconds a baby will pop out and so will your trophy.
For a full guide on breeding animals click the link below.
Equip a diamond so you are holding it on your hand. Go to another player and press "Circle". This will throw a diamond. Make the other player pick the diamond up and the trophy will pop.
Find a pig and kill it. Build a furnace and cook the pork chop. Once it's cooked, eat the pork chop and the trophy will pop.
This trophy counts 100 in game days not real days. This should unlock naturally, if you have all the other trophies and still havn't gotten this just leave the game running for a while until it unlocks.
Get a bow and some arrows, wait until night time and go out looking for a creeper. Once you find him, kill him with the bow to get the trophy.
There is a quick way to get this trophy is to find a villager who will trade something like hay for an emerald. Since hay is easy to grow, you can harvest loads of hay and then trade it with the villager to get all of the emeralds. If you want to do it the hard way, emeralds spawn in the high hill biomes. If you are using the seed provided in this guide then you can use the coordinates provided to find a large amount of emeralds.
To create a pot you will need to find clay. Claw spawns underwater or near sandy shores. Smelt the clay in a furnace to make clay bricks. You will need 3 bricks to create a flower pot.
To create a sign you need 6 planks of wood and a stick. Place the sign anywhere to unlock the trophy.
Your hunger levels are represented by the chicken legs. Wait until they are depleted. You know they are fully depleted when you start to loose health. Once this happens eat some zombie flesh and the trophy will unlock. Zombies almost always drop zombie flesh when killed so it shouldn't be hard to find this.
Shears are created with 2 pieces of iron. Craft a shears and shave a sheep to unlock this trophy.
You will need to harvest wool from sheep. It doesn't matter what color the wool is, you can dye any color wool any different color. You can dye wool in the crafting menu provided you have already crafted the correct wool colors.
White - Most sheep are white.
Green - Smelt the cactus in a furnace.
Red - Roses are red flowers. Very common.
Yellow - Yellow flowers found in fields.
Blue - Lapis Lazuli Ore. This is found in the lower levels. Usually near lava.
Pink - Red dye & bone meal.
Light Blue - Lapis Lazuli Ore & Bone meal.
Orange - Orange Dye is created from Roses and Yellow Flowers.
Gray - Ink sac & bone meal. Squids drop ink sacs.
Brown - Cocoa beans, found in pods on trees in Jungle biomes.
Lime - Green dye & bone meal.
Magenta - Crafting purple & Pink dye.
Purple - Red dye & Lapis Lazuli.
Black - Ink sac, dropped when killing squids.
Cyan - Green dye & Lapis Lazuli.
Light Gray - 2 bone meal & ink sac.
To unlock this trophy you will need to create a Potion of Fire Resistance. Consume this potion and jump into some lava to get this trophy. You need Nether Warts and Magma Cream to create this potion. You can easily create this during the tutorial.
This sounds like a lot of blocks, but you will gather this a lot faster than you think. If you are hunting for diamond, you will likely get this without even trying. Collect as many cobblestone as you can and place it in the same chest until it is full.
This is a handy way to get started in a map if you cant find coal to make torches. To create charcoal place a block of wood as the fuel and the ingredient in a furnace. This will get generate a piece of charcoal. Use this charcoal as fuel with another wood block to get this trophy.
This can be quite hard to do normally, but it can be done very easily in the tutorial. Go to the top of the stairs where you first start and there will be a chest with the music disc inside. There will also be a player nearby that you can use to play the disc and get the trophy.
To create an iron golem you need 4 iron blocks and a pumpkin. If you don't want to waste your iron, you can create this in the tutorial. Go up the stairs from where you start and you will see the iron blocks near a pumpkin patch. Harvest the pumpkin and place it on top of the iron to create the golem and get the trophy.
This is a must have if you plan on playing the game in survival mode. Create an iron helmet, boots, breast plate and pants using iron bars. If you are lucky you might find some of this armor in a blacksmith chest. Equip all the armor to get the trophy.
This can be a bit tricky. It can be hard to find a zombie villager and when you do it can be hard to do this without being attacked by other monsters. You will need a golden apple and a Splash Potion of Weakness to cure a zombie villager. A golden apple can be crafted using gold nuggets and an apple. The potion is a little more time consuming to craft.
First you need to create a mundane potion using a bottle of water and magma cream. Mix this with a fermented spider eye to create a potion of weakness. To make it a splash potion you will need to add gunpowder. Kill a creeper to get some gunpowder and create a splash potion.
Finding a zombie villager may take some time. They usually spawn near other villages so if you find a village you can run around at night and hopefully you come across one. You can tell the difference between a normal zombie and a zombie villager quite easily. The eyes are the first giveaway since normal zombies have black eyes and zombie villagers pretty much have the same face as a normal villager, but they are green.
once you find a villager you need to hit him with the splash potion. Then feed him the gold apple using L2. The trophy should unlock straight away, but it may take a few seconds until he is cured before unlocking. Make sure to press L2 with the apple and don't accidentally eat it yourself.
Taming an ocelot is nothing like other animals, it sucks! You need to use a raw fish to tame an ocelot. Crouch down near an ocelot with a fish in your hand and wait for him to come over to you. This might take time as they like to run away. It is easier to do this in the tutorial as they are in a pen, so they cant run off. Feed the ocelot the fish and it should turn into a cat. Once the trophy pops you can kill the little a**hole for being so annoying!
