Portal is a game all about using..portals. It seems like quite a strange decision to remove this from the game, but that’s exactly what this mod does! Aperture Tag: The Paint Gun Testing Initiative is a mod developed for Portal 2 and is available on Steam for $6.99. The mod features a full campaign that contains 27 original maps, original voice acting, new gameplay mechanics and more surprisingly an in-game level editor!
After watching the trailer the idea of a Portal game without a portal seems to make more sense, and actually looks like it will be a lot of fun! Essentially your portal gun has been replaced with a new gun that allows you to shoot out orange and blue goo. For those who have played Portal 2 they will remember that the blue goo acts like a trampoline allowing the player to jump higher than normal and the orange goo allowing the player to run faster than normal.
This mod definitely adds a new twist to the game and looks like a whole lot of fun!
