I’ve had my Xbox Series X since launch day, but a few days ago it completely stopped turning on. The power button light doesn’t come on at all. I thought the power cord might be the problem, so I bought a new one, but that didn’t help. I’m really bummed and want to avoid paying the $299 repair fee from Microsoft. Has anyone else faced this issue and fixed it without sending it in? What ended up being wrong, and how did you fix it without official repairs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like the issue is likely inside the console itself, probably the internal power supply. Swapping the power cord won’t help if the problem is internal. Your best bet might be to find a local repair shop or technician who can diagnose and fix the internal hardware without the expensive Microsoft repair fee.
Honestly, changing the power cord first makes total sense. Better to start with cheap and easy parts before diving into costly repairs.
Yeah, I was just trying to rule out simple fixes like the power cord since it was cheap to try. I’ll definitely look around locally to see if someone can fix the internals. Thanks for the tip!
