I’m curious to hear your thoughts! If Destiny 2 got a Forge-like feature similar to what’s found in Halo, allowing for custom maps and game modes, how many of you would jump back into PvP? Do you think player-created content would enhance the experience or would it just create a mess?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be drawn back in. Most player-created maps tend to be goofy or just poor copies of existing ones. Even back in Halo, it took forever to sift through all the bad maps to find the few decent ones. Forge was great for extending the life of a game, but I don’t see it attracting players to a live service like Destiny 2.
Totally agree with this! The whole vibe of messing around with friends and creating silly maps in Halo was a highlight. If Destiny had something like that, I’d definitely put more hours into the game.
I’ve been playing Crucible consistently, but a Forge mode wouldn’t make me play more than I currently do. In my experience, most players struggle to create balanced or fun maps. Halo’s Forge was hit or miss, and it’s mostly miss for me.
In Halo Infinite, the community-made maps are often the best ones! It could help fill the content gap in Destiny, but it really depends on player skill.
I doubt many would jump back. Sure, new maps from pros are nice, but without rewards, most won’t be interested. The custom PvE activities sound even better to me!
I honestly wouldn’t get into Forge either. I can play custom maps in games like TF2 or Gmod, which have strong communities for that kind of stuff. Plus, most players in D2 don’t even use voice chat, which is huge for custom games.
Yeah, it’s tough to find quality when so many players aren’t really designers. There’s a lot of garbage out there. Forge was useful back then, but doesn’t seem like it would work the same in D2.
