I have a pretty stacked Fortnite account that means a lot to me, and I keep wondering: if a nuclear war wiped out everything—including the Fortnite servers, the creators, and everyone working on the game—do you think Fortnite could ever be restored in the future? Like, even if all the people who worked on it vanished along with the servers, is there any chance the game would come back? Looking for genuine thoughts here!

Honestly, if a nuclear war wiped out the world to the extent you described, I doubt anyone working at Epic would even be alive or in a position to restore Fortnite. The servers and company headquarters would likely be gone, and by the time society starts rebuilding, people with direct knowledge or interest in Fortnite would probably be long gone too. So the chances of an official restoration under those conditions seem pretty slim.
Epic Games has a history of shutting down whole games abruptly, like Battle Breakers which was discontinued just a few years after release. They’ve also disabled online services for older titles during shifts in their platform strategy, often making games unplayable online. Given that, even without anything catastrophic happening, they aren’t always committed to long-term support. So in a post-nuclear scenario? I’d bet they wouldn’t come back to Fortnite at all.
It really depends on what survives the disaster. If even one person manages to have the game files saved on some durable medium like a hard drive, there’s a chance Fortnite could be brought back. But those storage devices don’t last forever and data can degrade if left unpowered for too long, usually around 10 years max. So the window to recover and restore the game would be pretty limited unless someone was prepared with backups.
That actually makes a lot of sense, and thanks for giving a respectful answer for once!
