I’m curious if Warlocks shooting out of their own Well in the new Edge of Fate activity will still receive the super damage bonus. If that’s the case, that 45% super damage boost might make things incredibly unbalanced! What do you all think?

I don’t think they’ll change how the Well is coded. The super damage bonus from the caster shooting out of their own Well is too integral to how Warlocks function right now.
Yeah, I agree. And with current artifact interactions, it just seems to be solidifying the Warlock meta even more!
Honestly, it looks like it’s gonna become mandatory to have a Well in your team. Getting that 45% bonus weapon damage is just too good to pass up. It might lead to some funny moments like six Warlocks dropping Wells together for boss fights!
Haha, I can totally see that! Everyone in a circular formation around the boss, raining down damage! Super funny but kinda crazy.
Unless they tweak things for the contest mode! That could change everything.
I’m pretty sure that only the Warlock casting the Well will get the super damage buff when they shoot out of it. That’s how it currently works, and it results in crazy damage numbers. It could turn the meta upside down if every fireteam runs a Well Lock!
That’s already the case! The caster’s gunfire counts as super damage, so we’re definitely looking at some insane damage potential, especially with artifacts. The synergy is wild.
That’s just it! Everyone will be piling on Warlocks, because the damage buff is huge, and survivability makes them crucial in raids.
You’re spot on. As the caster, if you’re shooting out of your own Well, you’ll get that super damage boost. It makes Warlocks way too powerful in sustained DPS phases. It’ll definitely create a one-class meta if every team leans towards this strategy!
And that’s beside adding in things like Limit Break from the artifacts! It’s a recipe for disaster for other classes.
Exactly, balancing is going to be crucial. It’ll be interesting to see how they respond.
It’s still going to be ridiculously strong; I can’t see them balancing it effectively.
