Square Enix has just announced that the entire Final Fantasy 7 trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch, but there’s still no word about an Xbox version. I’m curious if the games are completely skipping Xbox or if there’s still hope. When Square Enix mentioned wanting to go multiplatform, were they only referring to the Switch and PC?

In my opinion, it’s definitely coming to Xbox at some point, probably alongside the Switch 2 release. They wouldn’t just leave it out like this.
I think they’re probably holding back details for the upcoming showcase. They’ve already released a lot of Final Fantasy games on Xbox, so it feels strange they wouldn’t consider it this time too.
It seems like Square Enix might just be prioritizing Switch at this point, especially since they announced for a console that hasn’t even launched yet. It’s frustrating that we still don’t have the games on Xbox after all these years.
Right? I wouldn’t even count on the excuses about porting anymore; it feels like they just don’t want to bring it to Xbox.
I get that some are frustrated, but it’s not the end of the world. There are plenty of other amazing titles out there right now that deserve our attention.
I think we should wait until the Summer Showcase in June to see if there’s any announcement. If they don’t mention it there, it’s probably not happening for Xbox.
Fingers crossed for a surprise announcement! That would be a great way to drop the news, and I might just shed a tear if it happens.
Honestly, it’s been so long since the first game came out… I can’t believe they haven’t announced anything yet!
Honestly, I’ve given up hope. It’s been a rough 6 years for Xbox fans waiting for any Final Fantasy news. I’m just focused on other great games coming out this year!
Yeah, but there’s been so much waiting and hoping already. It’s hard not to feel pessimistic about it at this point.
