I’ve been wondering why the Strandlock subclass seems to be left behind in Destiny. It’s been more than a year since players have been asking for buffs to aspects and threadlings. The only adjustment we’ve seen is a minor buff of 20% for threadlings, and even that hasn’t made a significant difference. Most play this subclass for the needlestorm, but even that’s been outshone by nova bomb lately. I’m confused about the lack of updates for this class. Is the delay linked to Euphony? Not many players have that, and it’s quite a complex setup. Why is Strandlock being neglected?

I think they might touch Strand when more people get access to it, like how they did with Stasis. Bungie seems hesitant to buff things that are part of paid DLC. However, it feels like the free-to-play playlists don’t get many updates either, so who knows…
In the end, who knows if they’ll actually consider the feedback from players? It takes them quite a while.
I believe that Strand could use a buff, especially for threadlings, but it still has its place. If you build correctly, it can shine. However, it struggles compared to classes like Titans and Hunters that can get immediate kills. Plus, the nerf to suspend definitely impacted overall viability.
Honestly, Strandlock used to be quite strong until they nerfed the suspend mechanic. I think some of those nerfs should be rolled back. As for threadlings, they were great with the Horde Shuttle mod but now you really need to rely on specific exotics like Swarmers to make them work properly. It would be awesome if we could get the Thread of Evolution fragment for prismatic builds and leverage those threadlings better.
What exactly were those nerfs to suspend? Can’t remember the details.
Yeah, it would be nice if Swarmers spawned more than just two tangles. They should be more useful overall.
I’m having a blast with the new SMG and using it with Swarmers. It works pretty well for general content, but yeah, getting boss damage isn’t cutting it since they’re often airborne. Still, I think Strandlock has potential if the right buffs come in the future.
I really enjoy Broodweaver, but it definitely feels underwhelming when Horde Shuttle isn’t available. Strand needs to be more consistently viable without relying on specific artifact mods. They should just incorporate some of these mods into the base kit for Strand.
It would be frustrating if they ignored updates just to avoid complaints. They really should be focusing on the balance regardless.
