I’m really bummed that Oblivion Remastered doesn’t have a German dub. I have so many fond memories from my childhood tied to the German voice acting, like hearing “Damen und Herren der Kaiserstadt. Willkommen in der ARENA!”. It’s a huge dealbreaker for me. I won’t consider buying the game unless they add a German dub. Microsoft talks a lot about accessibility, and not every German player is confident in their English. It feels like leaving out a native dub really limits that accessibility.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! But just a heads up, you might want to lighten up a bit. It’s just a game after all!
Growing up with a specific voice cast makes a big difference. Hearing it in a different language totally changes the vibe!
If it means that much to you, you might want to consider modding the game. The original German dub files are out there—just incorporate them into the remaster.
I’m up for that idea, but I have no idea how to mod it.
There are German subtitles available, you know? I get that it’s not the same, but it’s something!
Reading subtitles in a text-heavy RPG is tough, especially when you want to immerse yourself in the game!
Sure, but subtitles can’t capture the magic of hearing the lines in German. I just want to relive those childhood memories!
Look, as a fellow German, I think you should just let it go. If your English isn’t great, just stick with the subtitles.
But I want to hear “Zeigt mir was ihr da habt!” not just read it! Those memories from childhood are important to me.
That suggestion isn’t practical. Imagine trying to focus on the gameplay while constantly reading subtitles!
I’m just frustrated! I paid full price, and it feels like missing a key piece of nostalgia without the German dub.
