Do you think Nintendo will refresh the design of their NES, SNES, and N64 controllers for the Switch 2? They’ve previously added features like the C button to the GameCube controller, but I wonder if it’s important enough to redesign the classics. Plus, SNES controllers have been hard to find lately, so could we see updated versions coming back?

Honestly, I doubt they’ll make many changes. I don’t think there’s a big enough demand for it.
It seems like the NES controllers might need some retooling since they rely on Switch 1’s rails; that’s definitely something to consider. As for the SNES, it’s kind of a hassle getting used to using ZR to exit the app, especially for us who love 2D gaming. I’d really appreciate having Capture and Home buttons added back in!
If Nintendo releases a Joy-Con charger that includes the NES controller, that would be awesome! At least the SNES now has USB-C, so I think it’s pretty much set for next-gen use, right?
Good point! But do the NES controllers not fit into the official Joy-Con grip? Seems like that would be a simple fix.
Yeah, I agree! I just hope they don’t opt for a magnetic attachment because a simple USB-C solution would be way better.
