I have a bunch of mods on my PC, but I took my laptop to visit my granddad for Easter, and it doesn’t have my mods installed. If I play with my family on the laptop without those mods and save my game, will the mods still be there when I go back to my PC? I can manage without the additional hairs and outfits in The Sims, but I really don’t want to redo all my Sims. Will they just become ‘invisible’ on my laptop, or will that affect the mods on my PC too?

Your mods and custom content are stored locally in your Documents folder, so they won’t just disappear from your PC. To play on your laptop with the same mods, you’d need to take them on a USB stick and paste them into the corresponding folder on the laptop. If you save your game on the laptop without the mods, when you return to your PC, you’ll still have them there. Just be cautious—any changes made while playing on the laptop won’t carry over to the PC unless you back up your save files!
So if I use the laptop and play my saved families there, it doesn’t alter what’s on my PC? I can basically treat them as two separate worlds?
