Hey everyone, I’m thinking about upgrading from my Xbox One X to one of the new Xbox Series consoles later this year, and I just wanted to clarify something. Will all the backwards compatible games that worked on my Xbox One X also work on the Xbox Series X/S? I know it sounds a bit paranoid, but I just want to be sure!

Just remember that the Series X/S can play everything the Xbox One played, except for Kinect games. Also, both Series S and the Series X Digital Edition don’t handle discs, so plan accordingly!
If it works on your Xbox One, it’ll work on the Series consoles too. No worries there!
Awesome, I’m glad to hear that!
Yep, any game from that backwards compatibility list should work on the Series X/S as well. Just a heads up, if you’re getting the Series S, you’ll need to have digital ownership since it doesn’t support discs. But overall, you should be all good!
Thanks for confirming! That’s a relief!

Good to know! I’m going for the Xbox Series X Galaxy Black Edition with a disc drive.
