I’ve just returned to playing Pokémon Go after a break and I’m really enjoying it! However, I’m curious if there are certain Pokémon, like Cosmog and others, that I won’t be able to catch because they were part of special research tasks or events that I missed. Is there a chance that every legendary Pokémon will eventually be available again for players like me?

Don’t lose hope! While it might take years, Niantic tends to cycle through Pokémon, so those you’re missing now could be available again down the line. Just keep playing and stay engaged with events!
Yeah, unfortunately, there are some Pokémon like Cosmog, Solgaleo, and Lunala that are currently unobtainable for new players. You’ll have to keep an eye out for future events since they might come back eventually, but it’s not guaranteed when that will happen.
Basically, most Pokémon that are unavailable now will return at some point, except for specific variants like costumed ones or Armored Mewtwo. So, you should be able to complete your Pokédex eventually, just might take some time!
