Now that we know how powerful the Switch 2 is, do you think Baldur’s Gate 3 could actually run on it? Is there a chance for a port in the future? I’m really hoping for it since playing BG3 on the go would be amazing!

If they managed to get Cyberpunk running on it, I think BG3 could work too, but the real question is whether Larian is willing to put in the effort for the port.
That would be awesome! I’d buy it instantly, but I’m not too optimistic about it happening…
I really believe this will happen, just like they did with Divinity: Original Sin 2.
I believe the lack of news on a port stems from BG3 being super CPU intensive, especially in Act 3. The Switch 2’s CPU is reportedly weaker than the Steam Deck’s, which struggles with Act 3. So, that might be a big hurdle.
Totally get that. My Xbox Series S had some trouble with Act 3; it’s not looking too good.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. Ports take time and effort, and I think Larian would rather focus on new projects right now.
They could outsource the port to another developer, like they did for the Hogwarts Legacy port!
If BG3 has mouse support on Switch 2, I’m definitely buying it!
Absolutely, the Switch 2 can handle games like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077, so I think it’s just a matter of time unless there’s some behind-the-scenes reason we’re not aware of.
I really hope they consider porting it to Switch 2! I love playing it on my Steam Deck, but it’s not super comfy. The Switch 2 sounds perfect! Fingers crossed since they did a great job with DOS2!
Well, it does run on a Steam Deck, so there’s that!
They did port DOS2, so there’s definitely a chance!
