I’m considering building a gaming setup with an RTX 4070 and a Ryzen 5 7500F. My main question is whether this combo can consistently hit 100 FPS at 4K in The Elder Scrolls Online. Anyone have experience or insights on this?

Good question about that 100 FPS target! Honestly, the game runs just fine at 60 FPS, and most monitors don’t even hit exactly 100 Hz. However, you’re right about the built-in cap for ESO. If you don’t max everything out, the Ryzen might hold you back a bit, but with DLSS Quality settings and running the game at 60 FPS, you’ll enjoy a smooth experience!
It really depends on your settings! The RTX 4070 is generally considered a 1440P card, and it can perform excellently at that resolution with maximum settings. So if you aim for 1440P, you should have a fantastic experience.
Absolutely! You should be able to reach 100 FPS without too much trouble. Just keep in mind that there might be some dips in FPS, but that’s usually due to server issues rather than your hardware. The 4070 can handle ESO at 4K fine—my RX 6800 doesn’t even need to push hard at 1440P, so the 4070 should be even better for 4K!
Right! The 100 FPS cap is due to the game’s settings. Plus, modern monitors often adjust their refresh rates to sync with the game, making higher FPS smoother to play. More frames mean less input lag, which is especially helpful in online games like ESO.
