Hey everyone! I’ve got an Intel i5-9100F and a Corsair MWE 450W power supply, and I’m thinking about upgrading to either a 2060 Super or a 3060. Do you think my 450W PSU will handle it, or is it going to bottleneck my system? I just bought the PSU in a deal for $30 on Amazon and I can return it if needed. My budget is tight, so should I consider getting a low-tier 550W supply instead? Appreciate your help!

If you can make it work for now, then stick with your 450W PSU and save up for a better one later. Like the other user said, it’s good to have options for future upgrades. For checking compatibility between parts, PC Part Picker is a solid tool to make sure everything will fit together.
So, the term “bottleneck” usually doesn’t apply to PSUs, just so you know. NVIDIA recommends at least a 450W PSU for both the 2060 Super and 3060, so yours should technically work fine. But it’s definitely better to have some headroom, so if you can swing it, a 650W PSU would give you more flexibility for future upgrades!
