I’m trying to connect my Steam Deck to my home Wi-Fi, but it keeps saying the password is incorrect even though I’m using the right one—the same password that works for all my other devices. I’ve already tried enabling developer mode and disabling the “Enable Wifi Power Management” option, but that didn’t help. Has anyone else faced this issue or found a way to fix it? I’m using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands on my router, but the Deck won’t connect to either of them.

Thanks for the tips! I already split the bands on my router and tried connecting to the 5 GHz network exclusively, but unfortunately it still won’t connect. The password prompt keeps rejecting it.
I’ve had a similar problem with my Netgear Nighthawk router. It turns out the Steam Deck doesn’t play nicely with WPA2 security on some routers. What I did was disable WPA2 and instead used MAC address filtering to secure my Wi-Fi. It’s not the most convenient solution, but it got my Deck connected. Might be worth trying, or maybe test with a different router if you can.
Actually, the Steam Deck is supposed to work only on the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. So if your router combines both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network name (SSID), the Deck might get confused. Try splitting your Wi-Fi bands into separate SSIDs in your router’s settings, then connect your Steam Deck specifically to the 5 GHz network only.
