I’m having trouble getting Kingdom Come: Deliverance to launch on my Windows 11 PC. I reinstalled the game from Steam to prepare for the new installment, but every time I start it, the splash screen shows up, then the screen goes black, and the game crashes. I haven’t seen any error message, so it’s hard to pinpoint the problem. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
2. Verified the integrity of the game files on Steam.
3. Disabled my Windows Defender.
4. Ran the game as an administrator.
5. Tried compatibility mode for Windows 7 and 8.
6. Underclocked my GPU.
7. Updated Windows and my Nvidia graphics card.
8. Disabled all overlays from Steam and Nvidia.
9. Attempted to run the game in windowed mode.
10. Launched the game directly from Steam.
11. Reinstalled the game on different drives.
12. Tried running the game in Windows safe mode.
13. Disconnected all peripherals except for my keyboard and mouse.
14. Repaired Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable and DirectX Jun 2010.
15. Run system checks (sfc /scannow and dism commands).
16. Adjusted display resolution.
My hardware:
– Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070
– 13th Gen Intel i7-13700, 2.10 GHz
– 32 GB RAM (29.7 GB usable)
Interestingly, I had no issues running this game on my previous Windows 10 setup. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried rebooting your PC? Sometimes a simple restart can work wonders. If you’re worried about resetting to factory settings, don’t worry, just a regular restart might do the trick. By the way, it’s strange that KCD2 runs fine but not the first game. Maybe it’s a specific compatibility issue with Windows 11?
I’ve restarted my PC multiple times, but that hasn’t helped. I really don’t want to reset everything to factory settings. It’s just frustrating since I used to play it without issues on my old setup.
