Hey everyone! I’m new to the game and just discovered my favorite hero, Weaver. I’m curious about something: why does the game suggest starting with W instead of E? I feel like starting with a passive ability would be better for a ranged hero, especially since I haven’t noticed any penalties in terms of damage or mana. Also, does the attack delay come into play here? Thanks for your help!

You always want to kick things off with W. It helps secure last hits on ranged creeps and allows you to escape tricky spots in the early game. After that, aim to max W before moving onto E for better damage output. As for items, consider going Power Treads, then Wraith Band, and build up from there. If you do it right, you’ll become really tough to kill!
Honestly, just play a few games to get a feel for Weaver. He’s one of those heroes where experience really counts. You want to understand your limits in different matchups and with various items. You’ll definitely improve with practice!
The main reason to start with W is that it helps you harass enemies more effectively and last-hit creeps better. Weaver’s attack animation is a bit slow, so you’ll often find yourself getting close to creeps, which puts you at risk of enemy harassment. Starting with W lets you deal damage while keeping your distance. Plus, most builds eventually include items like Magic Wand that help with mana issues, so that’s not a big concern either.
