Hey everyone! I’m curious why Resident Evil 3: Nemesis doesn’t seem to get as much love when people talk about the best RE games. I personally think it has fantastic puzzles, an awesome atmosphere, memorable characters, solid maps, and good bosses. Plus, it really captures the essence of what makes Resident Evil great. What are your thoughts on this?

I actually prefer the OGRE3 over OGRE2! It’s up there for me, but I think the REmake just overshadowed everything. Once that came out, it was hard to have much debate because it took what we loved and made it even better. RE3 doesn’t offer much new that we haven’t seen before, you know?
I totally get where you’re coming from! I think RE2 just sets such a high bar with its amazing atmosphere and iconic locations like the police station and sewers. For many, it’s the best horror game ever made!
Yeah, RE3 was solid, but it just can’t compete with the impact of the others like the REmake. The original RE2 raised the stakes so much that RE3 feels a bit less robust by comparison. Still a fun game though!
I feel you! And while I think many would place RE7 in their top rankings now because of its story and unique take, it’s hard to deny the classics. All the RE games have their merits, but when it comes to legacy, RE3 often gets overshadowed by the likes of RE2 and the REmakes.
