Why Isn't My Mic Working in Apex?

I’m having a weird issue where my microphone works perfectly in every other game, but it just won’t function in Apex Legends. I’ve checked the settings, and it’s set as the default device in the control panel. Could there be something else I’m missing?

Make sure that your mic is not only set as the default device in the control panel but also marked as the default communication device. Apex might be using that instead of the standard default mic. If that doesn’t help, try disabling any other microphones in the control panel so that only your main mic is active. And double-check that your in-game settings aren’t set to push-to-talk, as that could also be the issue.

I’ve tried that, and even after deleting all other mic options, the mic bar doesn’t move in settings, and it doesn’t work whether I’m on open mic or push-to-talk.

This is frustrating! My mic was working fine a few months ago, but after I reinstalled the game, it hasn’t worked since.
