I’m having a frustrating time with Waukeen’s Rest! I stumbled into there without knowing about the timed events, and I couldn’t find anything to do. After searching online, I discovered I was supposed to save some people, but by then it was too late. So, I went back to an older save at the monastery and took the portal to Waukeen’s Rest again. Now, I smell smoke and hear screams, but the two characters I need to save are already dead. I didn’t even step through the portal in this save until now! What am I doing wrong? I’m thinking about trying Withers to resurrect them, but I’m not sure if that’ll help. Should I just wait until my next playthrough?

Honestly, when you get those pop-up warnings, you should really take them seriously. They’re trying to warn you not to move on until you’ve finished everything else!
So, the issue is that once you head to the mountain pass, it automatically resolves a lot of timed quests in Act 1, including the one at Waukeen’s Rest. You might want to save that mountain pass for last next time! It’s like a point of no return, so try to wrap everything up before you do that.
Do you have a save from before you went to the mountain pass? That’s what triggered the deaths since it wraps up all those quests. Keep an eye out for warning messages—they’re super important!
Yeah, I do have an older save, but I’m not looking forward to redoing the whole creche quest. I’ll just pay attention next playthrough!
I had no idea! Guess I’ll finish everything else before heading to the mountain pass next time, thanks!
