While I was mapping out the Nether roof for a hoglin farm, I stumbled upon what looks like a missing chunk—close to a bastion, no less. Has anyone encountered this before or knows if this is something normal in the game? Any insights or explanations are appreciated!

It sounds like you might have run into a chunk loading error. Sometimes the game doesn’t load chunks correctly, which leads to these weird gaps. Try checking out the chunk borders; they might line up with the missing area.
Was there a screenshot involved? If not, it could just be a display glitch on your end. Also, since you’re on Bedrock edition, sometimes these errors occur differently, so keep that in mind.
There’s a chance that your world might have gotten a bit corrupted. This stuff happens from time to time, especially if you’re messing with map areas. Maybe consider reloading the game to see if the chunk shows up after that.
