I’ve been having a frustrating issue with the Titan Thruster. It seems to get “caught” even on perfectly flat ground—about 30% of the time I activate it, my character only moves a tiny bit instead of the usual distance. It’s like I’m stuck on nothing! This happens so often that I find myself hesitating to use the ability, worried it’ll make me look foolish. It’s especially concerning since this ability is crucial for Titans, yet it hasn’t seen a fix or update in two and a half years while other bugs get patched almost instantly. Anyone else dealing with this?

I’ve also noticed that sometimes I glide on the ground and can’t sprint or jump for a couple of seconds. It’s a real bug that should be addressed!
I definitely feel the inconsistency too. Sometimes you barely move a couple of feet, and other times you launch across the map. They tried tweaking the angle of the thrust, but it clearly isn’t enough to fix it.
This seems more like an issue with how the terrain is modeled rather than the Thruster itself. Just because a surface looks flat doesn’t mean it is!
Honestly, quick movement abilities are usually affected by terrain variations, even the tiny ones. It’s not just Thruster—remember when Warlocks had issues? It’s part of how game collision works, and I doubt Bungie will fix it unless it’s a major problem.
I’ve had similar issues with Hunter dives. Even the smallest dips in terrain can trigger unwanted movements, like when I’m trying to slide and end up diving instead. It’s been a problem for a while now and I doubt Bungie even knows about it. I bet Thruster is getting the same neglect as other bugs.
I’ve used the Thruster a lot and honestly never encountered this issue. Are you on PC? Maybe it’s a performance thing?
You might just not be using it often enough to notice!
I find that hard to believe! I’ve seen it happen to Titans in-game, and it’s definitely a problem here.
I guess that makes sense, but it still feels problematic when it impacts gameplay.
