I noticed that the Premium edition of Doom: The Dark Ages is priced at $99, while the Standard edition is $129. That seems reversed to me—shouldn’t the premium version be more expensive? Am I missing something here? Here’s the link to the store: https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/doom-the-dark-ages#optLogin=true and you can find my screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/HB39UaP.

Who even cares about prices? What are you, the sale police?
Just a heads up, one edition shows New Zealand dollars while the other is in USD, so that’s the likely confusion here. I mean, maybe Blizzard used some weird coding for their shop front which isn’t helping things!
If you’re not set on buying it right now, you might want to consider subscribing to Game Pass for a month. It’s usually pretty cheap—between $1 and $5. You could finish the game and potentially buy it later at a lower price after its release instead!
By the way, is there any real reason someone would prefer to buy Doom on Battle.net instead of Steam, EGS, or the Microsoft Store?
Well, if you’ve already got funds in your Battle.net wallet, that could be a reason! But other than that, I don’t see a strong advantage.
It looks like the Premium price is listed in US dollars while the Standard price is in New Zealand dollars. When I check the link, it shows $99 for Premium and $69 for Standard in US dollars, both of which can be misleading if you’re not looking closely. So, it’s all about the currency conversion!
Exactly! I get the same prices here in Australia—$99 for Premium and A$119 for Standard. It’s definitely strange they don’t clarify the currency for one of the editions. Seems a bit dodgy to me!
Totally agree! It’s either a glitch or just poor design, but it’s important to be clear about these things!
