Hey everyone! I’m dealing with a frustrating issue: my Xbox keeps shutting off after about 15 minutes of playtime because of an overheating error. It’s really hot in my house right now, and I’m also running the TV while gaming. Just a couple of days ago, I played for nearly 12-13 hours without any issues. Do you think it could be dust buildup that a quick clean with compressed air might fix, or could there be a deeper problem at play? Any insights would be appreciated!

It sounds like your Xbox is definitely overheating. If it’s giving you that warning, it’s probably hitting its thermal limit. Make sure it has enough space around it for proper airflow, and definitely consider cleaning it out. Dust can really mess with the cooling. If you haven’t done so already, take it apart and give it a good clean to see if that helps!
Also, don’t forget to think about the heat in your room. If it’s hot at home and the TV is running, that could be contributing to the issue too. Keeping your console cool in a well-ventilated area can make a big difference!
Yeah, and make sure you’re not blocking any vents. I’ve seen that lead to overheating problems. If the TV is on top of the console, that might not help either. It’s good to give it some room to breathe!
