I’ve been using the Steam Deck since day one, and after testing it extensively and even creating some themes, I’ve recently noticed some odd performance issues while playing Warframe. My frame rates are nowhere near as stable as others; I’m only getting around 40fps on low settings instead of a consistent 90fps. Even on medium settings, I experience severe drops. YouTube videos show people playing smoothly at 85-90fps with similar settings. Is there a way I can run a benchmark to compare my Steam Deck’s performance with others? I also noticed in Fallout 3 GOTY my FPS fluctuates between 60-90 while others seem to have a locked 90fps. What’s going on?

Have you considered cleaning the fans? I have a relatively new Steam Deck and I consistently get around 70fps on medium and high settings without using FSR.
You might want to look at specific areas that affect performance. I’ve seen significant drops in FPS when playing in new areas or open-world sections, even with a powerful desktop setup.
It’s possible the others are playing at a lower resolution or using FSR. That can make a big difference in stable frame rates. Maybe you should check if they’re using any frame generation mods too.
