Hey everyone! I just surprised my sister with a CyberpowerPC desktop from Walmart, hoping she’d have a great experience playing modded Minecraft and some other games like Fortnite. While it runs perfectly fine for regular tasks, we noticed that her frame rates plummet to just 20-30 FPS when she tries to play any games, including Roblox and even vanilla Minecraft. I own another CyberpowerPC and it performs wonderfully, so I was really let down by this one. I’m not very technical, so I’m wondering if this PC is actually good for gaming, or if her monitor might be a factor. Here are the specs:
– Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-core Processor 3.80 GHz
– RAM: 16GB
– GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
Any insights into why it’s underperforming would be appreciated!

It sounds like your sister’s PC might be using integrated graphics rather than a dedicated GPU. The AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics means it’s relying on the processor’s integrated graphics, which isn’t powerful enough for gaming. Many budget prebuilt PCs come with this setup, and it leads to the kind of performance you’re seeing. If your sister wants better FPS, she’d definitely need a dedicated graphics card. A good rule of thumb is to get one that’s reasonably priced for solid gaming performance. Wish you luck!
Thanks for the insight! Do you have any recommendations for affordable graphics cards?
