I’ve been noticing some alarming temperatures while gaming on my PC. My Ryzen 5 5600X is hitting about 90 °C, and my RX 6700XT is reaching an even crazier 120 °C! I’ve already checked the cooler mounting, fan speeds, and I even cleaned the PC thoroughly and reapplied thermal paste. I’m really concerned because I thought temps would be much lower than this. What could be causing these overheating issues?

Definitely sounds like something’s not right. I run a Ryzen 5 too, and with an RX 6650XT, I barely get close to those temps under heavy load. What kind of case are you using? Proper airflow is key.
120 °C on the GPU? Ouch! That’s way too high, and your system probably shuts down to prevent damage. Double-check where you’re monitoring those temperatures. Are you using reliable software for temp readings? It could also be a sensor issue if you’re sure the cooling is adequate.
Have you checked the orientation of your PC case fans? If they aren’t set up to bring in cool air and exhaust hot air properly, that can lead to those high temps. It’s worth making sure everything’s in the right spot!
