I just had my PlayStation account suspended for the first time ever, and it’s all because of a little back-and-forth I had with someone in Call of Duty. The guy insulted me, so I sent him a message joking around. Usually, that’s just harmless fun, but it seems he reported me. Now, I can’t use any communication features, and I found out that I can’t even access the menu in Fallout because of this communication ban. I get that the message I sent might have crossed a line, but it feels a bit extreme that this is completely shutting me out of Fallout, especially since I can still play Call of Duty. Is there anyone else who’s experienced this kind of suspension? Why is Fallout treated differently here? Should I just play on a different PS account until I’m back in good standing?

Honestly, the whole reporting system is pretty flawed. Sometimes you’ll get punished for minor things, and others just slip through. I think it’s a lack of resources to evaluate every report!
Be careful online; they’re super sensitive about swearing or insults now. I just mute everyone I don’t know in COD. Management of language is key, or you might face one of those automated bans again.
Yeah, I didn’t expect him to report me either, especially the guy throwing around insults like that. Total banana peel moment!
I’ve been there! I got a suspension once too, and honestly, you just move on. It’s not the end of the world. The event isn’t keeping you from living your gaming life, you’ll be fine.
What do you mean ‘dramatic’? I’m just confused why Fallout bars access completely when I can play everything else. Seems unfair!
Yeah, it sounds like you’ve got no choice but to wait it out since it’s a temporary ban. Just a heads-up, this is why it’s a good idea to avoid sending those kinds of messages, even if you think it’s all in jest. You’ll definitely see that event again, so it might suck to miss out this time, but just hang tight!
(Shakes my fist at my ps) ack, my clowning! It’s been outlawed!
Sorry to hear about that! I’d try to avoid these games if you want peaceful gameplay; the toxicity can be a lot. I’d suggest sticking to party chat with friends to dodge drama.
I used to love leveling up weapons and stuff, but with all this drama, I’m about ready to quit those games for good.
Right? I heard they put AI in charge of party chats which just seems a bit sketchy to me. I get suspended for this while others say way worse things!
