Hey everyone! I’ve recently upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700X (previously had a Ryzen 5 5600X) and now I’m experiencing these annoying micro lags. They seem to happen randomly, like when I right-click on my desktop or open programs, and even when I tab out of games. I’ve already done a BIOS update, checked for all driver updates, did a clean install, and monitored the CPU temperature, but nothing stands out as the cause. Here are my current specs:
– Motherboard: Asus Prime B550M-A (WI-FI, with latest drivers)
– CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
– GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070TI
– RAM: 2x Corsair CMW32GX4M2Z3600
– Power Supply: 700 Watt BoostBoxx
– Cooling: 4 fans and 1 water cooler
Any thoughts on what might be causing these stutters? Thanks a lot for your help!

Make sure you’ve updated your motherboard chipset drivers from the manufacturer’s website. Also, confirm that XMP is enabled. If you keep encountering issues, try disabling XMP temporarily to see if it helps with those lags.
You might want to check if Global C-State is enabled in your BIOS. That setting can sometimes create issues with performance when it’s on or off, depending on your setup. Just a thought!
I did enable that already, but thanks for the tip!
I’ve updated the chipset driver, but I might try disabling XMP to see if that works.
