I’m using Sunshine and Moonlight to stream games from my powerful PC (5800x3D and 4070Ti) to my Steam Deck. The setup is generally awesome, but I’ve run into an issue when I try to use my Steam Deck with a non-official Amazon dock connected to my 4K TV. While the streaming performance regarding frames and lag is good, the picture quality is terrible and blurry, making it hard to read text even when browsing. I’m currently using the NVIDIA encoder in Sunshine with the highest settings and Moonlight is set to transmit at 4K 60fps with HEVC. I’ve also maxed out the bitrate to 150. Despite tweaking every setting I can find in both programs, I can’t seem to resolve the blurriness. I’m starting to think the dock might be the culprit, but I’d appreciate any advice or insights!

Have you tried setting Moonlight’s Game Resolution to ‘Native’ instead of ‘Default’? This might help improve the clarity on your display!
Make sure to check the resolution settings on your external display. In desktop mode, you can click the screen icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar and access the display settings. Here you can adjust the resolution and refresh rate. If your dock doesn’t support 4K, it might be stretching a lower resolution, causing the blur you’re seeing.
Is that a setting within Moonlight? If you could elaborate on where to find that option, I’d be grateful!
