Hey everyone! I’m having a frustrating issue with my internet speeds that I could really use some help with. My partner’s PC is hitting speeds of 700 Mbps, while I’ve only been able to reach a max of 55 Mbps. We’re both using WiFi and our computers are right next to each other. We’ve even moved the router closer, but it hasn’t helped. I did try using an Ethernet cable, which bumped it to about 75 Mbps occasionally, but it drops whenever I start a game. My phone gets around 250 Mbps, so what’s the deal with my PC? I’m not very tech-savvy, so if you need more info about my specs, let me know. Thanks in advance!

It seems like your WiFi card might not be up to par compared to your partner’s. If you can, try using Ethernet—it’s a lot more reliable. If that’s not feasible, consider getting MOCA adapters if you have coax cables available, or powerline adapters if you can plug them in nearby. Also, if you must stick to WiFi, look for a good PCIe WiFi 6e card. That could help a lot!
