I’m playing a ghoul character with legendary charisma maxed out and 15 additional points invested in charisma. Without any buffs, that should give me a total of 20 points. After applying the -10 charisma penalty for being a ghoul, my charisma should read as 10. However, on my Pip-Boy, it’s showing a negative value for charisma. Has anyone else seen this happen or know why this might be? I’m not feral, just a regular ghoul.

If your character was feral, it would drop charisma hugely (like by 99 points), which could cause a negative display. But since you’re not feral, that’s not the case here. It’s likely just the standard ghoul penalty combined with how the UI represents the stat after reductions.
The negative sign you’re seeing on your charisma probably isn’t an error but just the way the game shows reductions after debuffs. It’s indicating your current charisma is lower than your base after applying penalties like the ghoul debuff.
That makes sense, but are there any debuffs besides the ghoul penalty that could be dragging it down even more?
