I’ve been experiencing some frustrating FPS drops while playing. During battles, my frame rate randomly fluctuates from a smooth 138 down to as low as 13-15 fps, often swinging back up to the 60s or even 130s after a battle or two. I have up-to-date GPU drivers and my setup includes an ASUS ROG Strix B650-A motherboard, a 3.8 GHz AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-core processor, an AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card, 64 GB of RAM, and I play on an ASUS XG27ACMG 140 Hz monitor. What should I be looking into to diagnose this issue?

Is this FPS issue only happening in World of Tanks, or does it occur in other games too? If it’s isolated to WOT, it might be an optimization or server-related issue.
I’m having a similar issue, but I’ve tried lowering graphics settings and updating my drivers, and it didn’t help much. It seems like these FPS drops can happen even with decent hardware. I’m not sure what else could be causing it.
It sounds like you might be dealing with thermal throttling. High temperatures could cause your CPU or GPU to reduce performance to cool down. You should monitor your temperatures while gaming to see if that’s the issue. If it is, you might need to improve your cooling or clean out any dust in your system.
