Hey everyone! I have a Ryzen 7900X3D processor and an RTX 5080 GPU. Recently, I’ve noticed that while playing Fortnite, my CPU usage spikes to 100% while my GPU fluctuates between 4% and 70%. This issue is unique to Fortnite. I’ve tried a few things, like disabling the integrated graphics and adjusting the graphics settings in Windows to prioritize the GPU, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

First off, make sure your monitor is connected directly to the GPU and not the motherboard. That can cause issues with GPU utilization. Also, consider raising your graphics settings in-game if you’re on a 1080p monitor. It’s possible that your GPU isn’t being pushed hard enough. If you have a 1440p monitor, though, that might not be the problem.
Definitely check that your monitor is plugged into the GPU. If you’re already at 1440p on high settings, your GPU should perform better. If not, there might be a background process hogging the CPU, or Fortnite could be poorly optimized for your setup.
