Hey everyone, I’ve got a 120GB hard drive with Windows 10 installed on my PC. But somehow, my system is only showing about 20GB as usable space. I’m really confused about what went wrong here. Could it be some partitioning issue or something else? I included screenshots that show the disk space details if that helps.

Since you mentioned it’s an SSD, sometimes manufacturers set up the drive with extra partitions for system recovery or firmware. If Windows 10 was cleanly installed, you should have most of the space available on the primary partition though. You might want to try extending the partition or deleting unnecessary ones, but make sure you backup anything important first.
I agree with the others — the 20GB you see is probably just one partition of the entire 120GB disk. Windows Disk Management will show you the full layout. Sometimes drives come partitioned with hidden or recovery partitions that take up a lot of space. You can delete or merge partitions to regain space, but be cautious not to delete recovery partitions if you think you might need them.
It sounds like your drive might have multiple partitions, including a recovery partition that’s eating up most of the space. Have you checked Disk Management in Windows? Sometimes the main usable partition can be very small if the rest of the space is allocated elsewhere or unallocated.

I checked Disk Management, and yeah, it looks like there is a big recovery partition taking up the rest. How can I safely reclaim that space?
