I’m diving into Resident Evil 4 for the first time and can’t help but notice how great Leon looks in that jacket. But here’s my question—considering all the detail Capcom puts into these games, why doesn’t it seem cold? I mean, his breath isn’t fogging up, and the NPCs are in light clothing and farming instead of bundling up. Plus, he’s running around a lot, so there’s no way he isn’t sweating buckets! What’s the deal with the jacket?

From the looks of it, the game is set in mid-autumn in Northern Spain, so Leon’s jacket actually fits the vibe. Plus, he could definitely use it during the rainy night section in the village to stay warm!
Right, the game definitely happens in autumn, where temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius (68°F) in Spain. Leon’s jacket seems pretty appropriate, or maybe he’s just showing off his expensive taste! I often see people here in Japan rocking similar jackets in autumn, so that might’ve inspired his look.
In the intro of the game, one of the cops mentions how it’s freezing outside, and Leon also says Ashley is the new president’s daughter, which hints that it’s probably still January or February. So yeah, it could be pretty chilly out there despite what we see!
Totally agree! It’s stylish and practical, and if you’ve got the cash to splurge, why not?
