Hey everyone, I’ve been having trouble playing Helldivers 2 on my PC (Nitro 5 laptop, i5 CPU, RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB RAM). Up until this weekend, I could play at medium graphics settings with good FPS, but now even on low settings, my FPS has dropped below 14 and the game feels almost unplayable. Does anyone know why this sudden performance drop is happening or what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

If you’re on a laptop, sometimes the system defaults to the integrated graphics instead of your RTX 3060, which can tank performance. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to 3D settings, and set the preferred graphics processor to the High-performance NVIDIA GPU. This often helps games use the correct graphics card.
I’ve heard there’s a performance patch in the works to fix some FPS issues, but no release date yet. Also, since the game environment might have changed a bit recently (not being in gloom anymore), the performance could improve slightly on its own for now.
Thanks for the update! Looks like I’ll just have to be patient and wait for that patch.
I tried that and some other tweaks but nothing improved the performance. I even rolled back my NVIDIA drivers to an earlier version, and after that, the game started working properly again. So maybe the latest drivers introduced this problem.
