I recently bought the AMX 30B and, contrary to some opinions, I think it performs pretty well. I average around 2000 damage and 600-1000 assistance per match without using any gold ammo. However, I always end up losing credits after battles, which is super frustrating. I’ve played tanks like the Batchat and 430U and with similar stats, I usually make a 20k+ profit. Does anyone know why the AMX 30B is such a credit drain compared to other tier 10 mediums?

Some folks confuse the AMX 30B with the tier 9 AMX 30, which tends to have a better reputation for rewards and profitability. Both tanks have their strengths, but the tier 10 AMX 30B can feel less rewarding in terms of credits. So make sure you’re comparing the right tank!
From what I know, the AMX 30B isn’t terrible but it’s not as efficient credit-wise compared to other tier 10 mediums. The turret armor can be pretty quirky to deal with, especially the cupola, which sometimes makes the tank less reliable in battle. I’d recommend trying setups like the DPM gun, and equipping bonds, vents, a rammer, and vertical stabilizer to improve performance and maybe your credit situation.
Yeah, that’s exactly my issue—I’m just bleeding credits no matter what setup I run.
The AMX 30B is kind of an older tank and might’ve been a bit forgotten by the devs in terms of tuning and balance. Even when you have a strong game, it feels like it sucks more credits compared to similar tier 10 tanks like the Action X or Leopards running the NATO 105mm gun. Those tanks seem to be easier to profit from, even with premium ammo. It’s a shame, because the 30B is still a stylish tank that deserves some love and adjustments to help balance its economy.
I’m definitely talking about the 30B tier 10, not the tier 9 30. Both are decent but yeah, the 30B is way tougher on credits.
