I’ve been having a frustrating issue with my Xbox where it refuses to start up properly without prompting me to restart it almost every single time I try to use it. It gets stuck on the green startup screen for way too long before it finally shows the “restart or troubleshooting” screen. I’ve even had to restore it to factory settings multiple times. Could this be a sign of wear and tear? Is my console doomed?

You might be better off getting a new console since those issues often mean hardware failure. While a repair could work, sometimes it’s just easier to cut your losses and invest in a new model.
It sounds like your console might be having HDD or SSD issues. When I experienced something similar with my Xbox One S, it was a sign that my hard drive was failing. If you replace the HDD with an SSD, it should work much better. That’s what I did, and now my system runs great!
What kind of SSD did you upgrade to? I want to make sure I get something affordable but reliable.
I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be my HDD acting up. Games took ages to load, so I just replaced my hard drive and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. Definitely consider swapping it out!

Thanks for the tip! I’m definitely considering that upgrade.
