So, my partner’s SteamDeck has been having some frustrating issues when we hook it up to a monitor. The monitor works like a charm with other devices, like our PC and Xbox, but with the SteamDeck, it keeps cutting out every 10 minutes or so, almost like it’s unplugging itself. We tried the same HDMI cable with the PS4, and that worked perfectly, so I’m at a loss here. The cable is firmly connected both to the SteamDeck’s dock and the monitor, so I can’t figure out what’s going wrong. I’ve checked the frame rates, and both the SteamDeck and monitor are set to 60hz, so that’s not the problem. Any ideas or advice would be super helpful!

I had a similar experience with my SteamDeck and monitor! Sometimes when I’d connect it, the signal would flicker on and off, and I’d have to unplug and plug it back in multiple times until it finally settled. It can be really annoying, and I’m not sure if it’s just a software glitch or something that could get fixed with updates.
Yeah, I’ve been doing the same thing! Restarting the Deck sometimes helps too if it doesn’t connect after a few tries.
