I love my PS5 but I’ve noticed a weird problem. Even though my console is only a month old, it gets really dusty inside super fast. I’m pretty tidy and clean the area around my PS5 daily, but when I opened it up, the fan was covered in dust like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year! I’ve never had this issue with my Xbox Series before. Has anyone else experienced this or know why the PS5 seems to attract so much dust so quickly?

Try getting an air purifier for your room and position it so the purified air flows over the PS5. That setup helped me keep my console way cleaner. Just a heads up though, you want the purifier to draw dust *away* from the console, not blow air directly at it since that could push dust inside.
Thanks, I’ll try that. I really don’t want to have to open and clean my PS5 every month—it always scares me I might accidentally damage something.
Honestly, I think it might be more about where you live than the console itself. I live in a fairly dusty area but even after years with my PS5, it doesn’t build up dust that fast. Maybe your home or air quality is causing it?
I get that, but my room is super clean and I keep everything spotless.
Could the dust actually be pollen or something similar? If you have a lot of trees nearby or it’s springtime where you live, that stuff can get inside pretty easily and stick to the fan.

Good tip! Blowing air directly at the console might force dust deeper in, so it’s better if the purifier sucks the dusty air away near the console rather than blowing onto it.
